THE SACHAPUYOS KINGDOM
DURATION: 2 DAYS AND 1 NIGHT

In a remote corner of north-eastern Peru between the Marañon River to the west and north and the Huallaga River east, the Chachapoyas dominated a vast territory now reminded thanks to scattered tombs, and the Revash Complex hidden in the cliffs.
The Chachapoyas played an important role in the Andean art and architecture development which show the bold and independent spirit that made them different from their neighbours.
We can learn more in the Leymebamba Museum that exhibits funeral bundles with all its costumes, ceramics, textiles, wooden objects and many Quipus.
The Chachapoyas Kuelap Fortress, located at 3000 meters above sea level, is definitely one of the greatest marks they left, a sample of this culture’s great skills.
